Over the course of many years, Viv Gatley, who has worked in many different types of establishment, and who became Head of Languages in a Cheshire school, has far too often been astonished and dismayed by the negative attitudes of English speakers towards the value of learning foreign languages, or to their own ability to learn languages.

She has also seen far too many capable people fail in their efforts to learn a language.

For Viv Gatley these failures were too often unnecessary and unacceptable, and she determined to find solutions to the many problems and challenges that seemed to create this unfortunate situation.

Having many years of experience, when Viv Gatley came across “Accelerated Learning” some years ago, she discovered that it was an immensely exciting method which encompassed all the features that she had found to be most successful in helping people to learn languages effectively, for example the use of colour coding, visualisation, music and “physical learning” (learning through involvement).

ALLS has used these methods with hundreds of corporate staff and private individuals, and Viv and her team have been delighted to see how our students have benefited from such an enriching and inspiring experience.

Attendance levels have remained consistently high.

It is, indeed, the greatest satisfaction of ALLS to see others develop their potential and succeed.
