STUDY MATERIALS FOR FOREIGN LANGUAGES AND ENGLISH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE.
 

For studies at the Foundation Level in French, German, Spanish and Italian, ALLS uses the Accelerated Learning self-study packs. Although tutorial backup is extremely desirable, it is possible to learn a language with these packs quite independently. We can supply the packs by mail order, and give occasional advice and back-up as required. The language is introduced gradually using all the classic accelerated learning techniques, and a dramatic story in eight Acts is told through audio cassette tapes (12), a video tape, a substantial text book/work book and other helpful materials to help you to learn a languaage effectively.
 
 To support the self-study courses, we have developed a comprehensive set of guidelines for performance outcomes, and tests for checking progress. These acn also be supplied by mail order.
 
When our students have completed their Foundation Course, and so reached the Council of Europe's Waystage for Modern Language for Adults, Threshold Level, many of them continue their language studies to a more advanced level. They have many special requirements for this on-going work, and we have built up a comprehensive collection of textbooks and study materials that help to make the work relevant and enjoyable.
 
 

A developing aspect of the ALLS service is preparing families for relocation abroad and helping incoming families to learn English. This is often done in association with the schools attended by the foreign children. In this way we have built up a range of materials that are useful for spouses and children learning a foreign lnguage.
